Jodie’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish her own mobile dog grooming business and for a while, it was thriving. But the COVID-19 pandemic brought unforeseen difficulties, prompting her to reconsider her career options. This setback only fuelled her determination to explore a new and exciting path.
HGV driving had always lingered in the back of Jodie’s mind, and when she discovered the Skills Bootcamp in HGV Driving programme in Liverpool, she seized the opportunity with unwavering enthusiasm. Jodie put everything into her assignments and practical training, fully aware that the journey wouldn’t be a walk in the park. However, through relentless determination, Jodie proved that with hard work and perseverance, dreams can indeed come true.
Jodie’s journey didn’t just inspire herself; it ignited a passion for HGV driving within her family. She encouraged brother, Jordan, to take the plunge and he’s well on his way to establishing a career in HGV driving. Moreover, Jodie’s father is also contemplating joining in the adventure. These bootcamps are funded by the Department of Education and curated to help individuals acquire the skills required to drive HGV vehicles. Drivers can obtain Category C&E (articulated) licence.
