HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Description

We are recruiting to cover Days and Nights including weekend coverage for store deliveries across the UK.

Challenge-trg Recruitment is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for various shift patterns for trunking work in Widnes, WA8 0PE. 

Your pay rate as an HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Day rate – £14.60 per hour | Night rate – £17.00 per hour
• Saturday Day £ 18.50 per hour| Saturday night – £19.00 per hour
• Sunday day – £18.50 per hour | Sunday night £19.00 per hour
• Day rate will be hours worked between 06.00am-18.00pm and the night rate will be hours worked between 18.00pm-06.00am

Shift pattern as an HGV Class 1 Driver: 

• Tues-Sat, Sun-Thurs, Wed-Sun, Thurs-Mon, Fri-Tues or any ad hoc shifts
• There are various start times available with a current average shift length of 11 – 13 hours.
• Induction required before shifts allocated of max 3 hours which will entail driving tests & on the road driving assessment (paid assessment)

What you can expect as a HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Weekly Pay
• Guaranteed minimum shift payment of 8 hours

The requirements of the HGV Class 1 Driver: 

• A full Class 1 HGV Licence held for Min 6 months
• A valid Drivers CPC Card
• A digital tachograph card
• A full understanding of WTD legislation
• Reliable and excellent time keeping
• Flexible with start times & working days
