Job Description

Challenge-trg are looking to employ a number of Tour Guides and Retail staff to work a minimum of 6 hours per week at The Royal Mint Experience in Llantrisant South Wales, CF72 8YT.

You will be required to be flexible and be able to work between Monday to Sunday, including evenings, on a Rota based system.

The Royal Mint Experience are looking to fill multiple positions both in leading guests on Site tours, assisting members of the public including families and children in the shop.

Typical working hours and Payrate:

  • Part-time hours: Minimum 6 hours per week
  • Variety of contracts/hours available.
  • Pay: £11.48 per hour

Purpose of the Job:

  • Escorting guests around the facility and any other ad hoc duties required.
  • Leading Guests on tours
  • Ensure that all guests and potential guests at the attraction always receive the highest level of customer service

Key Accountabilities:

  • Embrace the idea of ‘the team’ and actively work to ensure the success of the attraction. A conscientious attitude, ability to follow the script given and be open to receiving feedback from the management team.
  • Ensure you are always punctual, ready to start working at the time your shift starts.
  • Ensure the highest standards of presentation are maintained throughout the attraction.
  • Be courteous and professional to guests.
  • Observe and report to the General/Duty Manager immediately any incidents which may affect the presentation, other employees, or guests of the visitor attraction.

  • Experience in retail, using tills, stock replen

Desirable

  • Experience in amateur dramatics
  • Previous Experience of working in the Tourism Sector
  • Experience in group management to maintain tight booking times
  • Ability to speak a foreign language
  • Awareness of health and safety
  • Storytelling/ Interest in History
